#ThrowbackThursday April 2024 (Red Queen)

I've seen bloggers doing book memes since the minute I started blogging, but I've never taken part in one myself... until now. The one I selected is monthly, and it's called Throwback Thursday. Here are the rules...

this time last year, i was reading...

On April 3 2023, I finished "Red Queen" by Victoria Aveyard, and borrowed "Glass Sword" by Victoria Aveyard on the same day.

I have an app on my computer named Sora to read books, and one of the cool features is that it shows a full history of all the books you checked out and when. So I scrolled all the way down to April 2023, and as you can see, I was going through a Red Queen phase back then.

On April 3, I marked "Red Queen" as done, and borrowed "Glass Sword", the second book in the series. Then, ten days later, I marked that as done and checked out "King's Cage", which is the third book.

When I say "all", I don't mean all the books I post a full review for. I mean every. single. one. The Best Book I Read in May (No spoilers)

Oh, May. A chaotic time. The month grades were getting finalized, summer break preparations began, and we bid our teachers farewell. That’s why I only read eight books last month (oops). At least that might make it easier to pick a favorite. Who am I kidding, it is always hard to pick a favorite, no matter how little books there are. That’s why I’ll be using a bracket technique to pick a favorite.  To start, I’ll list all the books I read that month along with a few words to give you an idea of what it's about: The False Prince (A dramatic fantasy, minus the unicorns) The Double Life of Danny Day (What if you lived every day twice?) my review of Percy Jackson and the Olympians (is the new tv show actually good?)

Picture this: I'm sitting on my couch, with this computer on my lap, staring at it intently as I hammer out these words. The TV in front of me is on Disney+, and the words "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" are emblazoned on the screen. The remote is set beside me, and I let out a long breath as I finally clicked the play button. Here I am, about to dive in to the long-awaited Percy Jackson  TV series. I've heard many good things about this new addition. Is it worth the hype? In this review post, I'll be talking about the series and give you my honest opinions on it. And yes, I'm actually writing these words while watching the show. After watching first 30 seconds of the percy jackson TV show Maybe I'm taking this reaction post too far, because it's been only 37 seconds and I already paused the episode to write this.
